Health Literacy Forum III
Health Literacy – What People Need to Participate in Health Care
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The Atlantic Institute for Market Studies (AIMS) is proud to be launching the AIMS’ Health Literacy Forum III event scheduled on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Halifax Central Library – O’Regan Hall.
Hosted by AIMS, the event will feature two prominent area physicians: Dr. John Ross and Dr. David Zitner. The event theme, titled Health Literacy – What People Need to Participate in Health Care, will delve into two critical perspectives: the social determinants of health, led by Dr. Ross, and health literacy, which includes digital information access, personal health literacy and governance, led by Dr. Zitner.

The forum is designed to provide stakeholders and public participants with ideas and basic questions to ask of their clinicians. AIMS believes citizens can help improve their own health and help to improve the performance of the health system that serves them if they are provided with the right tools and questions.

Please RSVP through Laraine Sleigh at [email protected] by Friday, April 1, 2015 whether you will be attending the public forum.
