Many Atlantic Canadians have to leave the region in order to find opportunities for themselves and their children. We’re in a perfect storm because the young are leaving, natural population growth is in reverse now – there are more people dying than being born, and, many of the immigrants that move to the region only stay a short time before leaving for larger urban centres.
