Hampton town council was pleased with its 18th ranking in a report card on 94 New Brunswick municipalities by the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies. But it was confused about one area where it got low marks. “One of the areas, ironically to me, where we were down was recreation and culture,” Mayor Ken Chorley said. Hampton boasts a strong and thriving arts community and is home to Hooper Studios. It also has numerous recreational facilities, the mayor said, including three soccer pitches, tennis courts, a rink, three ball fields, walking trails, parks, a golf club and a curling club. “I really don’t know what else we could have,” he said.
