Fellow in Continental Interdependence

In the Fall of 2008, Stephen Blank was appointed the Ross Distinguished Professor of Canada-United States Business and Economic Relations at the College of Business and Economics at Western Washington University. The Ross Chair engages in teaching, community outreach, and scholarly activity related to business and economic relations between Canada and the United States. The Ross Professorship is housed in the Center for International Business and is funded through an endowment established by the State of Washington and the Government of Canada.

Dr. Blank is co-chair of the North American Transportation Competitiveness Research Council. He recently retired as a professor of international business and management at Pace University’s Lubin School of Business. He serves as senior fellow at the North American Center for Transborder Studies at Arizona State University; at Columbia University’s Center for Energy, Marine Transport, and Public Policy; and at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI).

Blank holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth, a master’s degree from Cambridge, and both a master’s degree and a doctorate from Harvard.
