John D’Orsay is the Principal of Strategic Commitment, a Nova Scotia based consulting firm focused on human resource policy and practices. John has earned degrees in sociology and social-political thought from King’s College, Dalhousie and Cambridge. He has prepared detailed studies and a wide range of submissions on education, particularly at the post-secondary level. John has served extended terms on the Boards of Oxfam-Canada and Voluntary Planning Nova Scotia. He has been employed as a researcher, representative, advocate and executive director with unions representing government employees, nurses and university faculty.
