Isaiah Alan Litvak holds Eugene and Christine M. Lynn Eminent Scholar Chair in Business at the College of Business, Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and is Professor Emeritus of Policy and until 1999 held the Pierre Lassonde Chair in International Business at the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto. He is a recognized authority in the field of strategic management and public policy. Prior to joining FAU in 1999, Dr. Litvak held a joint appointment as Professor of International Affairs and Economics in the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University.

Professor Litvak is the author, co-author and editor of more than 15 books and monographs and author of more than 75 articles. His works have appeared in North American and European academic and management journals. A number of his articles have won prizes such as The Touche Ross Award for the best Business Quarterly article of the year, and the Deloitte Touche award for one of the three best articles of the decade.

Dr. Litvak is a recipient of numerous grants in support of his research work from various foundations such as Ford, Donner and McLean. He has also received multi-year grants from the Social Science Research Council of Canada.

A prominent business scholar and teacher, he has guest lectured to academic, business and governmental audiences throughout the world -- including INSEAD, M.I.T., Johns Hopkins, University of Cape Town, The Americas Society and The Council on Foreign Relations.    Dr. Litvak has been called on to appear before Canadian Parliamentary and U.S. Congressional Committees. These invitations resulted from his research and in a number of cases his work contributed to new policy initiatives, including the introduction of legislation and regulation.  In June 2002 he appeared before the Canadian Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade on hearings concerning North American Integration. Professor Litvak has served as a member of various national and international councils, committees, and task forces. 

Dr. Litvak has been a consultant to business, government, industry associations and the United Nations. His business clients have included North American, European and Japanese multinational companies such as General Electric, Exxon, Dupont, Jannock, Shell, Bank of Montreal, Avesta, Texaco, Burgess Food, Coca Cola, Mitsui, British Petroleum, Nova Corporation, AT Plastics, etc.  He has also served as a member of various corporate boards, including Canadian subsidiaries of Swedish, U.K. and U.S. multinationals.  

He received his MSc & PhD degrees from Columbia University and a BComm from McGill University.
