Gerald Pond has 35 years of experience in the telecom and IT industries. In May 2002, Mr. Pond became CEO of iMagicTV Inc. Prior to this, he was Executive VP of Aliant Inc. and is also the former President and CEO of NBTel Inc. and Bruncor Inc. (1994-99).
Active in numerous business, professional and community organizations, Mr. Pond is a member of the Board of Directors of the Conference Board of Canada, iMagicTV Inc., Assumption Life Inc., and is Chairman of the Board of Q1 Labs Inc. Mr. Pond is also a member of the Canadian E-Business Opportunities Roundtable, the Board of Governors of the University of New Brunswick and Chairman of the Board of the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies. Mr. Pond served as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and is currently a member of the IWK Health Centre Foundation Capital Campaign Cabinet.
Mr. Pond’s accolades include being named the Information Innovator of the Year in 1997 by the Canadian Information Productivity Association and being inducted into their Hall of Fame.
Mr. Pond obtained a BA in 1966 from the University of New Brunswick.
