Governor, Asian Institute of Management and Olympic Trust of Canada
A native of New Brunswick, Cedric Ritchie retired as Chairman & CEO of The Bank of Nova Scotia in 1995 after a distinguished career in the banking industry. He became an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1981. He was inducted into the New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Canadian Business Hall of Fame in 2000. He is an Honorary Director of The Bank of Nova Scotia and a Director Emeritus, Canadian National Railway. He is a member of DaimlerChrysler Canada President's Advisory Council.
Also, he is Governor of the Asian Institute of Management and the Olympic Trust of Canada. He has received honorary degrees from Dalhousie University, Mount Allison University, Queen's University, St. Francis Xavier University, and the University of New Brunswick. He is a fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.
