Entrepreneurship, that oft-used and misconstrued term has never become more important as a driver of our national economy.

In this commentary, Re-light my fire, John Risley, AIMS Board Chair, explains that at home in Canada, we need to put a real focus on building entrepreneurs, particularly amongst young Canadians, to foster a new generation of business founders who boldly seek growth opportunities.

Risley explains that, Canada, like most other jurisdictions is still trying to understand how it can support its entrepreneurs and how to make the best out of limited resources, which is at the heart of successful entrepreneurship. Supporting our change agents is not a responsibility that belongs to government, universities or organizations like the Canadian Youth Business Foundation alone. It is a collective responsibility. This is about a culture and about understanding the world is going through a gigantic shift.
