Colin Dodds is President of Saint Mary's University in Halifax. Educated in the U.K. with a B.A., B.Sc., M.A., and Ph. D. degrees he has held appointments at a number of other universities in Canada, the United Kingdom and the Asia-Pacific region. He has published widely in the areas of financial institutions and international finance.
Dodds is very active in a range of local, national and international organizations. He chairs the Board of the Canadian Bureau of International Education, and the Board of Canadian Scholarship Trust. He has been named as one of Atlantic Canada's Top 50 C.E.O.'s, and has received many other awards. He chaired the Nova Scotia Provincial Boundaries Commission and has acted as a consultant to business firms and other organizations. He is a regular commentor in the media and has published many books, journal articles and conference papers, particularly on financial markets, he teaches international finance to graduate students at Saint Mary's University.
He serves on a number of editorial boards of academic journals and a number of national boards, including the Board of Governors of the Canadian Institute of Bankers. He was one of the founding members and Vice-Chair of the Canadian Consortium of Management Schools. He has served as a consultant to a number of multinational enterprises and international agencies.
